We currently offer curricula based on ABRSM, Trinity College, AMEB and NZMEB. We also have a school curriculum aligned with the New Zealand and Australian national standards covering curriculum levels 1-5.
Music Ecademy uses British terminology but introduces American terminology in later grades.
Yes. The full subscription to Music Ecademy gives you open access to all the theory grades, aural trainer, placement tests, and game mode.
No, students can start in whichever grade is appropriate for their level. We have level testing which suggests to students where they should start the course.
We have placement tests to give students an idea of where in the course they should start.
The computer system automatically marks the questions. With a teachers account you can also add feedback for your students on questions that they have attempted. This helps teachers give extra support and feedback if they wish.
We firmly believe you are never too old or young to learn music! Music Ecademy is designed to be easily used by students aged 7 and above, and adult students can get as much benefit as school aged learners.
Yes, it is fun for all ages! We do have adult and University aged learners using the program.
Music Ecademy works on any device with an internet connection, microsoft, android and apple. Although it does work on smartphones we do recommend using a computer, laptop or tablet as it is easier to use on a larger screen.
Yes. Music Ecademy can be accessed on any computer with an Internet connection.
No. Each user has progress data associated with it, so students who share logins will not have a clear indication of their personal progress.
Music Ecademy is used by music studios and schools around NZ, Australia and the UK. We also have schools in China, Germany, Ireland and South Africa.
Absolutely nothing! Teacher's accounts are free with student sign-ups. This means you will be able to see what your students are learning and how they are progressing.
For schools: the easiest way is to get in touch with us! All you need to do is fill in our order form here and send it to us (via email), or send us through your class lists. We organise and set up the number of accounts that you need and send through the log in details for your students. We then invoice your school, university or studio directly and can be paid online by credit or debit card, or bank transfer. Please get in touch with us for more information and help signing up.
For studios: We have 2 options for signing up your students. Either you can ask us for a coupon code and your students can sign up individually through the website. Students can pay securely via PayPal or by credit or debit card. The code will give the students the teacher discount and also allow us to group the students under your teachers account (should you want one). This option is best for private music teachers wanting to sign up a few students.
The second option is to sign up via a bulk enrolment. In this instance you would collect the enrolment information from your students and we would invoice you directly. Please get in touch with us for more information and help signing up.

Yes! We can provide as many as you need for your school. We can separate the students into their classes and group them under there teacher so that each teacher can easily see their students. If you are the head of music we can let you see all of the students by class, so you can keep an eye on things!
Yes you can. You can see all the course material just like your students, which makes it easy to know what they have been doing.
Yes! We have progress tracking so that you can see in each grade what your students have attempted and completed. This let's you know where they are excelling and where they might need extra help.
Yes! We have an option to view and to print individual student reports as well as to download all of your students grades as a spreadsheet.

Yes! You can purchase multiple accounts. When you head to the sign up page you can select the number of accounts you would like.
If you would like to sign up multiple students please contact us directly and we will organise it for you. We will then invoice you, or the academic institution directly.
If you are an academic institution doing a bulk enrolment we will invoice the school, studio, or university directly. You can then pay either online by credit card or debit card, or you can pay by direct deposit to our New Zealand or Australian bank account.
